Portable BASIC Stamp programming

Greetings,

Has anyone discussed a way to program a BS2 from a USB drive so that you could pop the drive into any computer (while on the road for example)?
I've seen a portable version of WinAVR and thought I would see if someone here has a good solution for the BS2.

Thanks,
Dominic

You are not clear about what you want. What do you mean by "program a BS2 from a USB drive"? There's no way to do that. The closest thing is something called a "Stache" which looks like a Stamp to a PC, but stores the program downloaded into it, then looks like a PC to a Stamp so it can download the program into the Stamp. It's used for distributing programs into multiple devices in the field where you might not want to carry a PC around. Check out www.emesystems.com.

I'm guessing he means something along these lines:

It would be neat portable parallax programming

    Thanks Mike and kb2hap.

kb2hap, you hit it right on the nose. That is exactly what I was refering to. I think it would be incredibly useful and very much welcomed by the BASIC Stamp community.

    Best,
    Dominic
