coin acceptor connection with basic stamp controller

·i want to make my basic stamp understand the coin acceptor signals.
·Does anybody know any company that i can buy a coin acceptor which i could easily connect with my basic stamp.
·Most are using mdb protocol something that i dont know.

You could get an old fashioned coin mech like used to come in pinball machines. They have a wire trip that actuates a microswitch or just a copper leaf switch. That would give you just a basic on signal. Ive got a box of them sitting inside one of my pinball machines.
