StampNut2,
Are your 12000ma-hr NiMH batteries home made (custom) or purchased retail?
I have never seen NiMH batteries of that capacity!
As I stated in a previous post, I have custom built NiMH batteries of 4500ma-hr capacity, but nothing bigger.
I usually build a battery for each side of the rover/robot and charge them independently.
I am planning on using an SLA battery with a capacity of at least 10 Amp-hr, but could go larger in capacity.
A rule of thumb for SLA batteries is to charge them at 1/10 their capacity and keep them on a 13.5 volt float once they are fully charged.
Regards,
TCIII
