bootup serial speed

Hi All,

Can someone tell me what speed the Propeller uses to check if the PC is connected during the boot process? I've just got my hands on one and want to test things are working - I am using a FT2232 board and have prototyped the transistor interface and set to 3V3 operation.

Secondly, How do I search??? I read a lot of info on the propeller only weeks ago, but cannot seem to search for anything.

Thanks in advance.

The PropTool downloads to the Propeller Chip using 115200 baud serial.

Is 115200 baud the effective transfer rate? I keep reading that the transfer protocol uses several bits in a row for each bit of data transferred to compensate for the wide range of RC Fast clock rates.

For much of the dialog between the Prop and the PC, the effective transfer rate is one bit per byte or 11520 Baud. For the actual download, you get 3 bits per byte or 34560 Baud.
