Non Working Parallax Protoboard

I seem to have fried 2 protoboards seem to be working with the propeller tool but won't run from ram and won't retain program in eeprom.

Is the main prop chip dead or otherwise ?

    try a simple toggle program without using the pll. the pll is the first thing to fry, typically...

    Follow Raymond's advice, it does sound like you have damaged the PLL. What circuits are you connecting to the protoboard? Are any of them inductive (solenoid, motor,...)?

    I've been using the boards with no problems, this time both boards failed with interfacing a GPS and the GPio object. I used a ds275 to convert fron rs232 via a 1.0k resistor onto the prop.
