Any one knows about other options on Inkjet printer Boards, because the Serial Inkjet Printer is now discontinued.

    I am looking for similar printer development kit too. Does anyone have ideas?

    This product was discontinued due to high manufacturing cost. Had the retail price increased so we could have made a profit the volume would have been too low.

    We'd be willing to give away the PCB design files, BOMs, parts listings and SX/B code for the SX20AC/SS if a company wanted to manufacture this as a product (for free).

    What's happeneed with Matt Gilliland's book, "Inkjet Applications: Circuits With Basic Stamp 2 and Sx Microcontrollers"? That was a fascinating introduction to the subject.

    Ken -- that would be *awesome*. Would you make these available for download for folks who might be interested in constructing their own versions of the board?

    Is the book still in print? If not, what would be the chances of making it available for download?

    Matt has a description on his web site at www.mattgilliland.com/. Amazon still has a few copies left, but I am not sure it is still in print (Woodglen Press?). It would be a shame for the book itself to go by the wayside, whatever happens to the hardware kit.

    Hi Ken,

    Is it possible for me to request for the PCB design files and the components list to assemble·the development board myself? I·need·such a development·board to·build·a "robot printer" for my school project and have no idea how to control commerical printhead.
