Power Supply for Servo Controller

I just got the Parallax Servo Controller – USB (#28823) and was wanting verification of the power supply requirements for the servo power. Reading the two manuals, they show 2 Parallax servos connected to a 7.5vdc Max battery pack. Reading the instruction sheets for the servos, they state that the max voltage is 6 volts dc.

Will the Parallax Servos work correctly with a 7.2vdc battery pack?

I'm currently using 5 NiMH batteries to achieve a 6vdc feed, but since all the chargers available to me are set up to charge sets of battery pairs, I always have the odd battery to recharge. If I could use a 6 cell battery pack it would make keeping the sets of batteries charged a lot simpler.

Servos have brush motors designed for voltages between 4.8V and 6V. They will work at 7.2V, but the brush life is slightly reduced due to the increased arcing at the higher voltage.
