Bought a couple of these a long time ago.· Got around to putting one through its paces.· Its version of an "S" looks like a backward "Z".

    I'm a display freak, with special fetishes for glowing things.· Bonus points if they're incased in glass. So I love VFD's [noparse];)[/noparse]· They are certainly attention getters for projects.· I must be getting old... the 'wonder' lcd seems rather ho-hum these days [noparse];)[/noparse]

    Fwiw, you can usually salvage some of these things from older equipment...·· I·documented a·project with a RG5-1366 board (1 x 16 VFD + buttons) from an old HP printer at the link below...· I just checked ebay and these boards can be found for ~ $8.
