Dose Any One know where to get an P.T.C. sensor
Hi Every One
··Dose Any One know where to get an P.T.C. sensor·that is used in a·Temperature Controlled Soldering Station
I would like to Thank any one that can help
I have a 137·ESD·soldering station that·I have had for 3 years the controller went bad so·I had to buy a· new one and will see if could repair the old one
But if·I can·not repair it i want to use a Basic Stamp as it··Temperature Controller Then I will need to learn how write a routine for the sensor
I have a spare heater but i do not want to use this to try to write the code for the Basic Stamp because the heater will break very easy
The type P.T.C. sensor·it has as Temperature gose up the so dose the resistance at 75 *F it has about 50 ohms· at 150 *F it about 100 ohms
The Temperature of 150 * F I am not sure of
Here is the Link to it

I've recently done searches for PTC's with the thought that I could make my own Mass Air Flow sensor. The only company that I (readily) found to sell them was Vishay. Otherwise, you could try Omega. I was thinking of doing this, but haven't gotten around to calling. Omega is going to source you PTC's that they use in their own products, I would guess. So, you may have a tougher time using what you would get from them.
My understanding is that PTC's are MUCH harder to source than NTC's.
My application would have warranted a quicker resonse time than yours. But, one example I found, which I think may work in your case is:

Sorry if this was not of more help.
Please let us know what you find or choose, should you do so successfully.

I found these at Mouser I am going order a few of each and see which come closed to the one that is the heater that has the PTC·for the·Soldering Station
The Teck at Mouser was very Help Full with this problem find the PTC Sensors
I will post the Finding when i get them
