I've been looking at Mouser and DigiKey but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices and afraid of picking the wrong type, so...

Can someone give me the Mouser or DigiKey part number for the mini USB receptacles like the ones used on the PROP-PLUG and PROP DEMO BOARD?

Thanks!

As far as I've seen, the surface-mount mini-B USB connectors (as used on the Prop Plug, et al.) all have the same footprint and pad layout. For solderability, in this age of lead-free components, be sure to pick one whose metal shell has a non-shiny "frosted" appearance. The tabs on these seem to take solder much more readily than the shiny metallic ones do. DigiKey's website is best in this regard, since it shows product photos for most of its connectors. Also, be sure to pick one that has "board guides" or "positioning posts". These plastic nibs align with small holes in your PCB to make positioning of the connectors more accurate.

The Hirose UX60-MB-5ST (DigiKey #H2959CT-ND) is an example of a connector that fits these criteria.
