Help With Subroutines

I'm trying to write a program that was many subroutines that follow each one right after that other is do looping is there a better way to write out a command instead of using a branch command?
In my code i need to home my motors "3 Axis" to 0 and not have them "Crash" into the limit switch and keep going, or not even get to the limit switch and stop in the middle. Help Me

I think you first need to start with a clear statement of what you want to do and why, step by step, and a schematic or detailed description of what you have connected to your Stamp and how it's all interconnected.
