Communicating b/w SX and BS2

Hello,

I am just trying to exchange a byte of data between the SX microcontroller and Basic stamp2. I didnot yet start working on it.
But as a mere thought, I am thinking of SEROUT from SX, and SERIN from BS2 with both the microcontrollers powered.
My question, is this communication going to be this simple or am I missing anything.

I would suggest a 220 Ohm to 470 Ohm resistor between the SX and BS2 pins, just as a protective measure against programming errors, but it should be simple.
