The Goal of this project would be to build a inexpensive DIY open source micro CNC servo Motor that will be compatable with programs like MACH3 CNC Software.

I collected a list of motors id like to use. they can all be bought from allelectronics.com

I Am currently using the Parallax Micro Dual Serial Motor Controller and the Basic Stamp 2.

Is it possible to use this motor controller with some type of encoder?

Let me know if youd be interested in the project. I am new to this parallex stamp stuff and·want to focus on developing a simple cheap opensource small cnc machine or 3d printer.

If someone is really interested in doing this and wants to take the time to figure it out i can also donate supplies like my BS2 and The motor.

email me if you can reach me on here at robert.h.systems@gmail.com

Thanks!

Don't most CNC type devices use stepper motors? I don't know for sure... it just struck me "funny" to think of "servo motor" and "CNC" in the same sentence.

Many smaller ones use stepper motors, but larger, faster and more expensive CNC devices use servo motors with encoders.
