Hello to all,

I am new to this forum, and i am really keen on learning more about Basic Stamps and their capabilities

I came across parallax while researching for my new project.

I'm trying to make a running LED display.

My idea is to allocate a message to a few push buttons, and when i press it, the message designated for that button will run across my LED display.

And i've just placed my order for a Basic Stamp Discovery kit. Costs me a bomb

Welcome. The Discovery Kit is a good way to get started. It will be tempting to rush through the exercises in the kit, but try to have patience and work through the examples and exercises. If you go to the Resources tab on Parallax's main web page, then the Downloads page, you will see all sorts of resources. The Stamps in Class tutorial downloads are very good and the Nuts and Volts columns are full of information and worked examples.
