Hi
I have a couple of AC4490-200M aerocomm modules that I am trying to use with the Propeller.
but before I can use them, I need to configure it ( i.e set the address, mode , baud etc) with the PC.
I have the utility application from Aerocomm that does this, But I cannot get it to detect the modem.
I have a PCB board which i made to connect the modem to , and it has 3.3 volts supply & connections to a TTL - RS232 Adaptor
has anyone had success in connecting this modem up to a PC directly via a TTL Converter? I am not sure of the pin-outs
The manual says that it can handle 5V TTL for this model of modem.
All I have so far is..
5V
GND
TX,
RX &
CTS, but
I believe that pin 17 of the modem ( COMMAND/DATA line ) needs to hook up to DTR of the TTL Adaptor so that the software can set the configuration mode via serial.
My TTL converter is from here..

Thanks
