I am trying to install the boe-bot remote control with Microsoft Robotics Studio Service.
I followed the steps up to page 7 on the "bluetooth boe-bot robot" manual.
···· I downloaded Microsoft visual C# 2008 Express Edition (the manual says to download 2005 but I could not find 2005 and 2008 was· available - I do not know if this makes a difference.
···· I downloaded and installed the latest version of Microsoft Robotics Studio.
····
When I run the Robotics Studio Command Prompt and enter (cd samples\platforms\parallax\basicstamp2) it tells me that it cannot find the file.
···· The robotics studio command prompt that I run says ":\users\mariano\microsoft robotics dev studio 2008" instead of C:\microsoft robotics studio <1.0>>
I'm getting stuck at this step.· How do I find basicstamp2.cs

Please Help

Since the problem seems to be with getting MSRS to run I would suggest you ask in the forums for MSRS where you got the files. It seems your files are in a different location than expected and you need to find out how to either change where they are expected or move them to that folder (which might break something else).

I have linked this thread to our Education Dept. to see if they have any information on this issue. If they do they will reply.

The boe bot MSRS service is for Microsoft Robotics Studio 1.5, and not yet for the very recently released Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 2008 CTP (which came out last week or so).
And MSRS 1.5 might not work with Visual Studio 2008, although I've never tried it on VS2008.

But I'd suggest to use Visual C# express 2005 (from here) and then install Microsoft Robotics Studio 1.5 (www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=73092FF6-E37B-45C6-8E5E-C23D5D632B1E&displaylang=en), after uninstalling the robotics dev studio 2008. I think VC# 2008 express might also work, so try it first before installing VC# 2005.

Boe-Bot w/msrs 1.5. I have tried getting to simple dashboard, with msrs 1.5 but got hung up at the "user/password" query after entering the address " http://localhost:50000/controlpanel" in the IE address field. I would like to follow Andy Lindsay's recomendation's in his 6/10/07 post in this forum. I have uninstalled msrs 1.5, but now I cannot find msrs 1.0 online to download Can someone point me to msrs 1.0 or maybe advice as to how to get past the "http://localhost:50000/controlpanel" user/password query in msrs 1.5 so I can open the HTML Control Panel? I do have; two beeps, two blinks and eb500 green, after starting the Visual Basic debugging session.
    Thanks

For the IE username/password problem, I had it too at the beginning. I think what I did was go in the internet options, then:
Security tab -> local intranet -> click on 'Sites' button -> Advanced -> Add the sites used by MSRS (usually http://localhost and http://<your computer name>)

For the errors you get, I think there's some directories messed up somewhere, but I couldn't help. I'd recommend you go to the MSRS official forums (where the MSRS team can reply directly) and ask there:
    forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=383&SiteID=1

I believe I hit the ignore button at this step actually.

I started a new compliation thread for specific errors to hopefully improve the Parallax side of the MSRS experience.
