Connecting wires to open frame power supply pins

Hello,
·
I recently picked up a 5v open frame power supply (http://www.meanwell.com/search/ps-05/ps-05-spec.pdf) for a basic stamp 2 project.· I have found it difficult to locate the connectors (or where I didn’t need to buy a minimum of 266) I need for the 120 AC input and 5 DC output.· Can some suggest a safe method of connecting to these pins w/o using the specified mating housing.
·
Thanks,
·
Brian

Have you tried Mouser or DigiKey? Both carry Molex connectors and have small minimum orders.

Yes I have looked at these sites plus many others.· I feel that I’m spending way too much time trying to find connectors instead of working on my project!· Any more advice is appreciated.

If you hold your iron to the solder side of the pin/s you should be able to pull it/them through from the component side.· Then you can remove the plastic/nylon holder.· Then, clear the holes/pads and solder wires in.· [ I once worked·for a "value-added supplier" and we did that operation a lot. ]
    • Does it have an on-board fuse?· If not, make sure you fuse the Line/"Pin 3".· (I think it should have a separate fuse, regardless.)
    • If you're wiring it to a molded-plug, the flared/wide prong is Neutral (AC-N / AC-) and the·other is Line (AC-L / AC+); make sure that you observe that, too.
If you rush it, you'll blow it, OM.
