Hi, I was wondering if you could connect an audio jack plug to the Emic TTS ? If so does anyone have a schematic or a guide on how to connect the jack. Thanks in advance...
Have you looked at page 17 of the documentation? That shows how to connect a speaker to the Emic TTS device. You would need an isolated audio jack with the output leads isolated from the physical mounting nut and any case. The reason is that neither speaker lead is connected to ground and you can damage the device if you connect either speaker lead to ground. That said, as long as the plug and headphone or speaker connections are not grounded, you will be fine. For headphones that would be the usual case. You'd need a two lead (monaural) jack. Connect the (-) speaker lead to one connection on the jack and the (+) speaker lead to the other. Polarity shouldn't matter.
If you must have a stereo jack, connect the (-) speaker lead to the common connection and the (+) speaker lead to the two terminals for the two channels (in parallel). That will play the single output channel through both left and right headphones / speakers. Again, none of the leads should be connected to the Emic TTS ground (or the power supply ground).
