anyone please please please explain me function/operation of this PING))) Ultrasonic sensor..

The ping sends out an ultrasonic burst when commanded. It the waits for the sound to return and calculates the distance based on how long it took. It then outputs a pulse proportional to the distance. You read the pulse with a uC and calculate the distance. Easy beans.
