Basic Stamp Controller: PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

I'm a teacher in Aberdeen, using the red basic stamp controller boards to teach programmable control at Standard grade and Higher level Technological Studies.

A number of the boards have simply stopped working and before I start a lengthy fault finding exercise (where I don't know where to start), or buy a bunch of new chipsets (costing me a fortune) I was wondering if anyone knew of any common problems with these boards that I could focus my attention on trying to solve?

When you are saying that you are using the red controller board you mean that you have the BS2e?

I have not had any real problems this device it appears to be rock solid. Want kind of problem are you having?
