PE lab: Objects-EnterAndDisplayValues.spin

Hello

I am working my way thru the PE Lab: Objects and I am having some problems with EnterAndDisplayValues.spin

I can't get it to send the values back to the Hyperterminal.

I just used "PropTerminal" and I could get it to display the values, but I couldn't see what I was typing (no echo).

Thanks for any help

Charlie

Charlie, You need to enable echo in Hyperterminal. There's a note in the PDF that explains how to do this.

I did enable the echo on the Windows version--Hyperterminal. It was no help. I followed the lab to the word and downloaded the programs from the lab just to make sure I didn't miss type something.

I couldn't get echo on the PropTerminal software. that someone wrote for the Propeller. It works pretty well, other than I can't find where you would enable an echo for it.
    Thanks

I am not sure I was clear on what I am having problems with

I got the echo of my typing to work, but the Propeller still does not return· anything, no Hex, Bin or Dec values

This problem·is with the Windows Hyperterminal

    Thanks

Are you sure you established the connection correctly? 8 data bits, No parity, 1 stop bit, No Flow Control, and the correct baud rate.

    hello bikejunky,

there are a lot of reasons THINKABLE why it does not work.

    Please attach your COMPLETE code.
This is the fastest way to help you

Otherwise this will be a ask-back-tiny-answer PING-PONG game
about 50 turnovers until the REAL reason is found

    best regards
