Need Urgent help for programming VR Stamp (sensory RSC 4128)

Hello everyone!
I am working on a project using VR stamp module and having difficulty in programming the chip. I need to program the VR stamp such that it responds to words and gives some output from its I/O pins. I am struggling to learn the module using the documentation provided, since they haven't specified any such program. If any one could help me out, it would be of great help.

Thanks,
SaiRam

This is a support forum for Parallax products. The VR Stamp is a product of Sensory, Inc. (www.sensoryinc.com/products/vr_stamp_toolkits.html) and you should contact them and/or browse their website for help.

    Hi Mike,

I understand what you are trying to say, but what about those folks who are trying to add voice recognition to Parallax product·based projects?· Is there no room to try and·help them out as long as a Parallax product is at the core of the project?· I think there·may·be·quite a few people in this pickle here...· I'm one of them.· I am very loyal to Parallax but I'd love to add the capabilities of the Sensory VR-Stamp to many of my projects.· I don't know the language the VR-Stamp is programmed in and don't feel that I have the time to learn another language right now.· I could see that this topic may be best suited for the Sandbox forum...

    What do you think?

    Tim and SaiRam,
This is strictly my personal opinion ...
    1) The only place for a discussion of this sort is the Sandbox forum.

    2) The question asked was not "How do I interface a VR Stamp to a Parallax Stamp or Propeller or SX microcontroller?", but "How do I program a VR Stamp?". There wasn't even a question of "I have a VR Stamp and I'd like to attach a Parallax sensor to it. How would I do that?". There may be a few individuals here with some personal experience in using a VR Stamp, but the hardware is completely different from any used in Parallax products, the software is completely different, and there's no reason other than chance or that voice capabilities are neat for anyone here to have looked at the VR Stamp or to have had useful experience with the VR Stamp that could be imparted to others. Really, the best place to get information on using a VR Stamp is from the support services of the manufacturer. If someone had a finished project using a VR Stamp and any kind of Parallax product, the Completed Projects forum would be a great place to describe it and to have a discussion on what was needed to make it happen, what was learned along the way, and hints for others who might want to use a VR Stamp in a project using Parallax stuff.

    3) Parallax provides the website and the resources for the bulletin board system. To have a discussion in some detail and at some length of another company's product with no tie-in at all to Parallax's products (and to some extent in competition with Parallax ... at least in having a small DIP module microcontroller ... allbeit with special capabilities) doesn't make sense.

Points well made Mike, I agree with all of them. What you said in point three is particularly poignant... that type of discussion is just not fair to Parallax as the proivder of the resourses. My projects will allways be Parallax product based. In regards to the VR-Stamp, the demos are powerful and I have three projects that I'd like it to be a part of right now, but the help from Sensory has been sparse and has left me unable to use the product.· I didn't mean to ruffle anyone, I just want to leave room for those with·Basic Stamp or Propeller projects who want to add other products to them.

There was a good discussion on this a while back. You'll have to wade thru some of the unrelated stuff first though.
