no basic stamp found...but its there.

ok I have both boe's working again. This problem has been happening before the one boe was temporarily out of comission. The problem is when I have one basic stamp connected to the computer I can program it, the other basic stamp cannot be programmed. I am using the usb to serial converter if that matters. Any idea why this one stamp cant be programmed? or found for that matter.

Actually I think Im going to add the whiskers to my tank and let it roam, just need to figure out where.

The Stamp has to have proper power to be found. It has to be operating normally. The Stamp Editor resets it and the interpreter in the controller chip talks to the PC to tell it what kind of Stamp it is using the programming serial port. If there's anything not working in the serial port circuitry or the Stamp itself isn't working properly, the Stamp Editor can't find it.
