USB to serial connection

I am using a mac so i have to have a USB to serial cable. The cable is radioshack brand. I can't get my computer to recognize it is there let alone the basic stamp program. Any ideas or help would be greatly apreciated.

Did you install the driver that I suggested in another thread?

Install the USB driver for the device BEFORE you plug in the device.

Really it doesn't matter... After you install you will have to reboot.

When you've rebooted go to your System Preferences and then to Network... Then in SHOW pull down and hit Network Port Configurations... You should see your PL2303 there... Uncheck that.

Open up MacBS2 and under Stamp... Serial Port pick your PL2303.

That should get you there.
