I am trying to control the distance that a vehicle goes, preset from a switch, using a shaft encoder from a Roomba wheel. I have the BS2 stamp.

What would be a way to have the circuit open once the motor has gone the preset distance? Is there a way that this can be controlled using the BS2 stamp or is there some electrical component that can do this?

You haven't provided a sketch or schematic of the circuit you're speaking about. Once we see the circuit, we may be able to suggest some component to break that circuit.

We may also need a copy of your program. If so, please use the Attachment Manager rather than providing the program in-line in the text box.

Involvement and committment can be best understood by looking at a plate of ham and eggs. The chicken was involved, but the pig was committed. ANON
