FT232RL USB to serial converter with BS2p40

Hi,
I am using an FT232RL chip to convert from USB (B) to serial to connect to a BS2p40.
I can get Loopback:yes and Echo:yes but no sign of the Stamp microcontroller or the version.
I am attaching my schematic here. Please note that STAMP_TX is connected to SOUT,
STAMP_RX is connected to SIN and STAMP_DTR to ATN. I checked all these ports with
a scope and could see some waveforms. Any help with figuring out what I am doing wrong
will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked our USB Driver download page for the Troubleshooting FAQ to see if this is maybe just a USB latency issue? I would try that first if the schematic is directly following ours.

Is there anything else you can think of? I have followed the schematics on the Parallax webpage
as far as I can see. I don't know if I have missed something. Is there a schematic for a
serial to USB converter that Parallax makes or made that I can compare my schematic to?
