TV_Terminal Demo won't load

Hi,

I have the PE kit and connected composit video on pins
12, 13, and 14.· The TV_Text demo works fine.· When trying
to load the TV_Terminal Demo, it loads for about 1/2 second
then I get an error that says the Prop chip cannot be found
on my comm port (COM6).· I can immediately reload the TV_Text
demo and it works fine.· It appears that the Terminal Demo is
configured to use pin 12 as the base pin, so I'm guessing that's
ok?

Anyone else have this problem?· How did you solve it?

    This sounds like more of a serial comms issue. On some computers I never have problems... On others, I get the problem you describe all the time. The issue gets worse as the size of the files being loaded gets bigger... Strangely, I've found that rebooting often fixes the problem for a while... Otherwise, you can go into Device Manager and lower the performance settings in the com port driver and that might help.

    PS:· If you keep trying, you it might load for you...· It's sometimes rather random...

    Make sure that Windows is not trying to download an update. That can sometimes slow down the download enough for it to fail.

    Yeah...hmmm...seems to work fine today??? Included a reboot. I guess it threw
    me because other programs were loading normally. Lesson learned. Thanks for
    the tips.
