···· I am trying to make a color organ powerd by my sx chip or run through my chip.· Is there anyway that I can do this?· Is there anwway for me to do this?
SX/B 1.51 has a new command called ANALOGIN, so, in a nut-shell,·with that much and some band-pass filters, it could be done.
[A color organ just turns a light on when a sound of sufficient amplitude·within an established·bandwidth excedes a given threshold.· It's not a VU-meter.]
Post Edit -- I would use op-amps instead of an SX-28, but you could do it with an SX as described.
It's possible to do it with just a microprocessor chip too.· I remember the old Tandy color computer had a program that would do spectrum analysis on the screen and they had no tuned circuit or a to d converter.· Unfortunately, I don't know how they did it.· I think it had something to do with watching a port that had the audio applied to it and counting zero crossings or some such.· Wish I could tell you more, but it IS possible. ·
