Basic Stamp Formal Classes

Hello, I am new to the Basic Stamp Development community but have an extensive background in software development and electrical engineering but my eduacation was sometime ago so diddnt have a chance to get into Integrated Circuits.

What I was looking for is a class in the Los Angeles area or any type of formal training to help me get up to speed with the basics.· I have reviewed the courses that parallax offers with their basic stamp discovery kit and it looks great, very well written, but I find the learning experience much more enjoyable in the company of others.

Thanks in advance for any input and I am sure I will be visiting this site often in my quest for Basic Stamp Knowledge.

Most colleges and junior/city colleges have courses in microcontrollers though that may be more than you want. Check out robot groups in your area.
