Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if it is 2 or 4 layer board?

I'm trying to design it into my own board, thanks

Not sure I understand your question…Are you asking if one of our boards is 2 or 4 layer or if you should make yours 2 or 4 layer?

There's no particular need for a 4 layer board for a Stamp module since all of the high speed signals are on the Stamp module and there's nothing inherently complex about the signals and where they have to go on the board.· If you're using the OEM component set, there are some high speed signals, mostly having to do with the clock (crystal or resonator), but they're really simple and limited physically in how far they have to go and shouldn't need 4 layers.

    Thanks Mike, Chris

As this is my first SMT project, I'm going to lay out my board with the BS2 SMT parts on my board and was looking at the schematic and board itself to figure out how to run the traces. I'm using Express software to do this board, and its been fun and a challenge. Some components are not in the library(20mhz osc), but I can try and build them. The through hole version of this board I laid out worked, but it was with a BS2 controller itself. I was just hoping (praying) that a 4 layer board would not be needed because of the BS2 part of my project. I'm also worried about trace size and how close my component should be to each other, the Board is only 4 x 3.

    thanks for any input.

ps.:I was like a deer in headlights looking at the BS2 schematic and if I could do it, but it's been a couple of days and I'm getting there.

    thanks again
