Help programming DS1302 Chip

Hello,
I have used the sample code that was provided on the data sheet by parallax to program the ds1302 for timing mechanism. I am struggling to find a way that the user can input the time using the debug terminal, instead of having to modify the code each time. Can anyone help me?

When you use this demo code as long as you do not remove the power from the DS1302 it will have the time that you put in it
