Connection Issues

I just recently order the parallax demo board and just connected it to my computer.

I downloaded the Propeller Tool software off the site here and it installed fine. The drivers for the demo board installed fine.

However the software will not recognize my board. Any ideas?

    The Propeller has to be powered to be recognized. Does the Demo Board have power? Is it switched on?

    I guess I just assumed it got powered via usb. Thanks

    There are some Propeller boards that are powered via USB. Hitt Consulting's Dongle is one. 4D Systems' uOLED-96-Prop is another if you use their micro-USB adapter. The others just use USB power for the USB to serial adapter.
