I need 4 sx52BD's (smaller format, not the DIP) for an old circuit that I have. Anybody have a couple they want to sell? Paypal works for me.

Thanks, Kevin

I was thinking in the neighborhood of $4/chip....I can wait till the SX48 protoboard comes back in stock, just curious what the going rate is on the black market for the 52.

I think I paid more than that for them.·I have just enough to stuff the boards I have designed them into.· You'd have to at least offset my cost for the chip+ circuit board they'd go into...

I really don't want to get rid of them, but if you're in a pinch and really really·need them, let me know. Otherwise, I'd prefer to hang onto them...

I have 4-5 SX52 Proto boards, but also am unwilling to let go of them. Parallax originally issued these before the SX52 was discontinued AND before they reduced prices. You are unlikely to get any for $4 as those 4 extra pins might come in handy someday and that is less than the actual chip cost.

It isn't a 'black market' so much as it is a collectible item. Prices will likely stay high or go up. I also have 25 SX-18 Dips that I wouldn't part with for similar reasons. In many cases, one doesn't need more that 12 i/o pins, but the DIP is useful to swap out revised code.

Does anyone have SX-52s for $10 each? I'd consider buying a dozen as a good investment.

    Thanks for the replies.

When I sent the original post I wasn't at home ( on Kauai for vacation, I found that Mai Tai's enhance the coding experience.). I just got home and inventoried my SX parts and I have 1ea. 52 ConCarne, 4ea. SX52's and 10ea. of the SX18's among a bunch of SX28's, so I'm set for the time being. hop.gif

Thanks Bean I PM the info.. The SX48 Proto board are great for rapid project development. I am working on a high voltage project and it cost me a few boards already... I just did not expect Parallax to go out of stock on a lot of the SX stuff. The SX key is out of Stock too. I have to use the Blitz to program the boards for now.. I hope they get everything back in stock soon.. Next time I wll order half a dozen boards to keep in stock.
