Grounding Practices

I am using a metal project box with an open frame power supply inside to power·a bS2, LCD, an other electronics.· I am wondering what the common grounding practices are in this case.· Should the box be connected to both earth ground and electronic ground (ie. Vss) or just earth ground?

Any advice on this issue would greatly be appreciated!

I'd connect it just to earth ground. That way, if something bad happens with the AC, the logic stuff is isolated.

I concur with crgwbr....ground the enclosure to allow a "safe path to ground" for any AC short-to-chassis! Sure beats it going through the next person that picks up the casing.
