operatinn servos from a differnet voltage source( another boe bot)

Guys....i again have a problem , this time with serovos.....what i have done is....


The servos get the controlling pulses from one stamp.....and the Power suppily along with ground is provided from differnet power source ie, from a different BOE-BOT board......the motor doesnot rotate....or in some times....the servos rotate continiously.....plzzzzz help me..its little urgent....cry.gif

    You really need to include a diagram or detailed description of how you have things connected and a copy of the program that you are using, both posted as attachments to a message. There's no way to tell from your description just what you've done. You are correct that you need a common ground connection.

    The servo has three wires. Vss, Vdd, and Input

    You must have Vss and Vdd go to the proper supply.

    And you must have Input and Vdd go to the BasicStamp that is controlling the servo.

    If you forgot the second Vdd, nothing will move. You don't have a complete control circuit.
