RFID door lock

I have a door lock just like the one in the RFID door lock video and would like any info on how to modify mine to operate as the one shown. I am a newbie so please be basic. Thanks for any help.

Start by downloading the documentation on the rfid readerpage and the information that came with your door lock. You may need a stamp or propeller chip depending on what you want to do but understand how everything works first then draw a picture of how it will all work together.

Have you ever work with a Basic Stamp before

If you have then

First of all do have manual for your lock and dose it have a wiring diagram if so then it should not be that hard for·you
You will need to use a relay to operate door lock motor

If you do not have manual then you have hack the door lock to find what wires·that are use to·operate motor for the door lock

If you have not worked with a Basic Stamp before then

First read through the What·is a Micro Controller and the examples to understand what happen when you different
code examples this will help you alot

Thanks for the replys. I did a little searching and found a site called www.rfidtoys.net that has the hack instructions that I was looking for. If anyone is interested it looks to be a fairly simple job.



Thanks again and I will let you know how the projects turns out.
