Board of Education LED is lit when power switch is at 0

This started happening all of a sudden for no reason, the LED is lit when I flip the switch to the 0 position (it is more dim but still lit). I have a battery pack with a separate on-off switch so I can still turn it off, but should I be worried?

What else is connected to your BOE besides a battery pack?

Is the BOE sitting on a conductive surface? Could the pins on bottom be shorted by what your sitting it on or how your
    holding it?

It's sitting on a plywood board (so no).

I have a GPS receiver, an FPU coprocessor, and a servo controller connected.

The GPS runs off the BOE's power, while the servo controller has a separate battery pack.

It sounds like the servo battery is back feeding through the BOE.

'My thoughts exactly and the reason for my original question. When you disconnect the servo controller, does the BOE's power LED extinguish?

It stopped doing this as suddenly as it started doing it.

For future reference, what should I do if it is back feeding through the BOE?

Disconnect power from the servo controller.
