anderstanding of the javelin board

hi,

I find out something that i do not anderstand.

i got an ER400TRS module used for radio communication.

i connected the following pin :

Pin 1····················· = the antenna;
Pin 2····················· = connected to the Vss of the javelin
Pin 4 (busy output)·· = to PO of the javelin
Pin 5 (Serial Data Out)· =·to P1 of the javelin
Pin·6 (Serial Data In)···· =·to P2 of the javelin
Pin·7 (Serial Data Out)· =·to P3 of the javelin
Pin·9 (Ground·········· =·to Vss of the javelin

my question is :

if i connect the pin 8 (Vcc) to the Vdd as said in the documentation, my ER400TRS does not work and all the other module. So i decide not to connect the pin 8(Vcc).

So i wonder how is the ER400TRS alimented. Does the Px of the javelin and UART how send energie to the ER400TRS.

As you see i am not an electronicien. So does someone could explain to me how to connect the module. ecause i think that all my trouble come from how to connect the module.

Pin 2 must NOT connect to the javelin VSS. It is the GND connection
for the antenna.
Also, do not use pin 21 of the javelin (VDD) to power the tranceiver.
Use the VDD from the top of the javelin demoboard (I assume you use that board)
labeled VDD at connecter X3.
