Just starting and need a couple of answers

There is a lot of stuff on that page and not knowing anything about it which one would the
compiler be.
Hate to be so dumb but I don't see anything that says it is a compiler.

It's what's called an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that combines a specialized editor, compiler, downloader, help reference, and maybe other things as well.
