P.I.N.K. to wireless ethernet?

Help.

Is there a device that will act like an ethernet to wireless adapter? What I need to do is connect a PINK to a wireless network. I need something I can plug the PINK into that will then connect to the wireless network. I've seen some cheap devices (and I need something <$50) referred to as access points and bridges, but it's not clear if this would do what I need.·My router is a Linksys WRT54G (Wireless-G).

Thanks for any info.

A wireless access point or even a cheap wireless router will be fine. Is the PINK/wireless on a moving platform? If so the biggest issue (aside from size of the wireless unit) will be power -- most routers/access points want 9v or so into their power jacks (check the unit for voltage/polarity on the power jack), so having the proper supply voltage (and enough current) will need to be addressed.

Any wireless bridge should work fine. I think Linksys makes a few, as does Buffalo. Just remeber, if you're net is protected (WPA, WEP, etc.) you'll have to configure it and input the keys before in will work with the PINK.

I have a Linksys wireless G router and have used a Linksys gaming bridge to connect to my wireless network.· I have only played with it a little bit and was never able to get into the Pink's web page from outside my house.· I'm sure it's a simple setting on my router to get access outside the network.· Just need to spend more time with it.· If I find it the bridge in this mess I have around my house, I will post the models of router and bridge that I used.

If you can access the Pinks webpage from your private network, you can forward port 80 through your router and modem, then access the PINK via your WAN IP. Then, you can set up a Dynamic DNS account, and access the PINK via a domain name.

Sorry for this late answer here,

but my provider blocks port numbers lower than 1024.
So, can i modify the port number of the pink so i can forward it in my router?

    Regards
    Luc
