Hi!

I wonder if it is possible to connect a picture/positionsensor like the one on PDF bellow to my BS2P with a laserpointer.
From what i have understood should the wavelengh not be any problem.
I want to use it for distance and position measuring for my car..
"Like, shoot a laserpuls, and recieve the laser with the sensor and then calculate the position and distance.

heres the pdf on the sensor

The "bounce" time for a laser pulse moves at the speed of light, of which 1 foot is about a nanosecond. The BS2 does not have that level of resolution.

The chip you call out is basically a CCD camera sensor -- if you shine a small spot of light on it, it will tell you where the light falls. That's very different from the use you suggest.

This is why most 'distance' measuring solutions for the BS2 use sound -- the speed of sound is MUCH less than the speed of light, and makes a more realistic sensor for the BS2.

you meen like a radar or sonar...

Radar is ok but hard to find.

Sonar har a very small range....

I want to measure distance of up to 150-200 m.

Then a laser range finder sounds like what you need -- but I'd be amazed if you can implement a 'roll-your-own' solution for this.

FYI, laser range finders cost upwards of $2500
