1-Wire, wire
Is there a handy way to seal a T-splice ?
I'm looking for ideas for making a 3 conductor, 1-wire bus, cable
that will be water resistant.
Once you splice in for your 1-wire sensor, how do you seal this
back up?
Is there such a thing as a heat shrink T?
Thanks.

As an alternative to Franklin's suggestion, you can use rubber tape. It's always available at wholesale electrical supply houses, and it _may_ be available at Lowes or Home Depot. After a day or two of being "set" the rubber nearly fuses together.
The whole trick to making a rubber tape splice is using continuous, equal pressure as you wind the splice. You don't need a whole lot of tension on the tape, just enough so it stretches some. When it tries to "relax" from the stretching, that's when the fusion begins to occur. If you wish you can cover the splice with something like 3M 33+ electrical tape. Don't use some cheap "imported" brand which will dry out in a matter of months.
Although not approved for waterproof use (as opposed to weatherproof or water resistant use) I've seen splices like these get submerged in standing water with absolutely no ill effects. Obviously, the more careful you are making the splice, the longer it will last and the more weather resistant it will be.
