Serial LCD module and Prof. development board

Hi,
I am using the seetron 120x32-pixel Serial LCD Graphics Module.
I want use the display with visual basic 6. So i'm connect the lcd on the dev. board at the rs232 port. (left bottom port)
I setup a small project, but when i send some text to the lcd, i got strange chars on the display. (comm number is correct and baud is set to 9600)
Can i use this port for my VB6 projects??
