Hi Dear Fellow Proppers.
Just unpacked a Hydra game to have a quick play.
Having nothing but trouble.. the unit keeps resetting itself ...
Anyway to cut a long story short..
When I unpacked the main Hydra card something tiny dropped on the floor and it disappeared
somewhere... ( now I know what it is)
See picture attached .. the 5V and 3.3V regulators are not pinned down with either screws
or rivets·· .. so the regs are getting so hot they shut down..
There is a 1-2MM airgap between the regs and the PCB (solderpad heatsink)
So if you having intermittent problems check out for this.
This is a manufacturing fault... bad bad bad.....
cheers Ron Mel oz

I am 1010, so be surprised!
My power supply is a 9VDC REGULATED powerpack it is 9VDC irrespective of Load or no load.
This is a manufacturers error ...sticks out like ...
