If you head for the Canon web site (link below) and enter A640 into the download search engine provided, you will find that there are any number of PDF's which you can download for various functions and facilities of that camera. Beyond that there is also a software developers kit which will certainly have the codes you're seeking, if it's not in one of the other manuals.
