How can I play a song using BSIIsx
I am new to BSII. Very new. Just heard of it a week ago. But I like what i'm reading. And am buying one soon for a project i'm working on.
Sorry i didn't search all the post yet to see if there's a post already related.
I want to make BSII to play a short song. Sound quality good, like from an mp3 player or something.
But I want the song file programmed into the BSII.
I want the song to start when a BSII·input goes high, and I want to connect a speaker with small amp to·BSII outputs.
Is this even possible and if so, how or where do i start?
I haven't bought anything yet. Which BS is best suited for my needs? Money is a concern too.
The song will be Jesus loves the little children. It's about·15 seconds long, as you might know. I want the song
to repeat until the input goes back low.
I do have breadboard and a varible 15v 2a power supply and jumper wires.
Also, any recommded books that will help me with this? and getting started?
Thanks
Tim

RadioShack sells a small module for about $10 that will play back up to 20 seconds of moderate quality sound with the push of a button and runs off a 9v battery. You could easily use a Stamp to take the place of the pushbutton.
Their catalog page is www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102855&cp=2032062.2032398&parentPage=family
I allready have a receiver chip that can interface with the RadioShack player/recorder.Atleast i think it can.
I'll try first before i decide wether i need to stick a BSII in between.· My receiver chip will have an output that goes high(5v), which i'll try to get that to be my pushbutton.
Thank you again.· The BSII does look very fun, maybe someday when money comes back to me, i'll get me one.
