USB2SER or Prop Plug?

Hi, I just had a question.

I'm trying to choose between AppBee's MOD board and their SIP board, and it seems one of the major factors between the two is their connection to a PC.

So which is the better connector? USB2SER or Prop Plug?

Thanks!

(And while we're at it, we need a very customizable board, in terms of software, such as get signal strength data out of the transmission, is the MOD a better board for that, if you know?)

The AppMod board is more flexible since it brings many of the xBee connections out to a header. The USB2SER and PropPlug are very similar. The order of the connections is different and the FTDI chip used is different, but functionally they're nearly identical.

That's good to hear, thanks a bunch.

Sorry, I'm new to this, what exactly do you mean by bringing things out to a header?

In this case, "header" refers to either a plug-like connector or a socket-like connector which happens to also work with jumper wires.
Look at the documentation (and the pictures) for the AppBee MOD (www.selmaware.com/appbee/AppBee_Doc.PDF).
