basic stamp control an esc?

can the basic stamp control an electronic speed control,like the ones in rc cars?

    The esc in R/C cars replace a servo and control the speed of the motor. Since the bs2 can control a servo I don't see why it wouldn't work with an esc.

    thats what I think to,but the esc has a "ramping " feature,what I am worryed about is weather or not it will be able to control the speed of the motor,or will it be wfo one way or the other. thanks for the quick reply

    it will control the speed just like the position of the servo

    The Ramping function just reduces stress on the motor. For example, in one pulse the motor can be told full forward, in the next full reverse. This would just about kill the motor and the controller. So the controller will ramp the speed down slowly and after a few seconds be at full reverse.
