Wow, if no one has seen this yet, check this out. I'm sure someone out there can figure out how to interface it. If so, it sure makes a nice integrated mouse for alot of applications.

Excuse my numerous posts, I'm new and been scouring the forum for info· ;)· Plus, I've got that 'new Prop smell' on the breadboard :)

I may have to pick up a few of these at a buck a pop....· Fwiw, my experience has been these type of touchpads are actually conventional ps2 mice in disguise, so they might just plop into any Propeller project with limited hassle.· Just have to reverse engineer them a bit to verify pin functions...

Touchpads, like touchscreens, are great input devices, as you can redefine things on the fly, from digital on/off to virtual potentiometers to whatever.· Plus a small project can look cool having a pad rather than several conventional buttns.

I documented a similar project using an AVR and a salvaged Dell touchpad here, showing emulation of qWheel thingies etc...

Gotta love Google... 1st result on that part # links over to a MP3Car thread with this info:

    FYI Pin 1 = VCC (power) Pin 2 = Data Pin 3 = Clock Pin 4 = Gnd

Insert your PS2 OBJ and go to town ;)
