Yes, that is a HERO 2000 robot. I've got each one of the HERO's as well as some of the prototypes and original test fixtures. There are a lot of fun.

There seems to be enough of us in the area to (maybe) put together an "expo" type even somewhere in the north Ohio area. Perhaps this is something the TOMIG group could start planning as a goal. Shame you guys aren't just a little closer, we've got semi-monthly meetings going, and several of us have been meeting in my shop on Saturdays just to work on propeller related projects.

OBC

BTW, my wife is from Adrian... She took me there one Friday night to check out her old house. As we drove through town I swear there were kids everywhere! I'm glad to see that at least someone found something else to do.. :) :)

You can hold it in Sandusky, and those with families can have them goto Cedar Point.

Living on the planet Earth might be expensive but it includes a free trip around the sun every year...

Experience level:
[ ] Let's connect the motor to pin 1, it's a 6V motor so it should be fine.
[ ] OK, I got my resistors hooked up with the LEDs.
[X] I got the Motor hooked up with the H-bridge and the 555 is supplying the PWM.
[ ] Now, if I can only program the BOE-BOT to interface with he Flux Capacitor.
[ ] I dream in SX28 assembler...

It's a good idea. I will raise this with the other members of TOMIG and see if I can generate some interest.
Unfortunately I have no contacts in Sandusky, so I will need to make some phone calls and talk to their local
Chamber about what can obtained cheaply. I thinking that an initial goal would be an event for around 20-30
people+families. The idea of going to the park will go a long way with my family as well.

Why doesn't someone *cough* parallax *cough* start one of those Google maps where people can post where they are from. I'd love some hands on collaboration on some projects. And I've been dieing to find a robotics club in my area.

Hey Phillip!

I'm new to the whole Hydra/Propeller world, but I live in S.E. Michigan too (Southgate).
Perhaps we could car pool down to meet our fellow propeller heads in Ohio!

Cary NC, I have quite a variety of Parallax devices including the Hydra, Sumbots, GPS module, wireless transceivers, one of every type of sensor and much more. Looking for others that would like to tinker with some ideas...especially interested in applications that could lead to a business in alternative energy, or energy conservation.
